Where does Karbi Joha Rice come from? Karbi Anglong, Assam our exclusive high quality, aromatic, delicious Joha rice are grown in rain defined Karbi community area where farming is practiced in traditional way using rainwater harvesting. The land is famous for its organic essence.
Do you cultivate your rice production? We do own cultivation as well as undertake contract farming with community farmers. We undertake naturally organic method of farming practice, and no chemical fertilizer is used.
What makes your product special? Cultivated by small farmers, our rice is handcrafted in small batches with complete natural process. Each bag is hand processed for superior quality.
Is the Karbi Joha Rice Organic ?Yes naturally organic however there is no certification as the small farmers are unable to obtain due high cost involved in certification process. However we are in the process of assisting these farmers for arranging certification soon.
Are Joha rice grown in other states of India? Yes! Various research and experts have developed similar looking small seeds in other parts of India. However, the Joha rice grown in Assam has distinctive nature and character due to its soil and climatic condition and original in nature.
Is the bag resealable? Yes! The Karbi Joha Rice comes packaged in the highest quality kraft bags. The bags are made with a resealable zipper, 3-layer structure with foil lining, rounded corners, and a tear notch for easy opening.
Can we prepare Thai, Japanese and Korean Dishes ? Joha Rice has similarity with Jasmine rice consumed in Southeast Asian cuisine. You can prepare delicious Thai, Japanese and Korean Dishes with Joha Rice.

HOW TO COOK JOHA RICE ?
Washing the Joha Rice
Take one cup of Joha Rice in a bowl and rinse under cold water.Some color will bleed upon rinsing.Drain the water.
Boiling Water
Bring two cups of water to a vigorous boil,Add the Joha rice in the boiled water.Cover the lidLower the simmer for 30 minutes
Serve the Fluffy Joha Rice Hot
Let all the water absorbed.Drain the excess water Take the rice out in a bowlServe it hot.
